Hyderabad-based Ramky Infrastructure is constructing five sewage treatment plants (STPs) as part of the Musi River beautification project, totalling an investment of Rs 1,297 crore.

The largest STP, located in Nagole, has a capacity of 320 MLD with a construction cost of Rs 468 crore and anticipated operating expenses of Rs 150 crore over 15 years.

Trial operations for the Nagole STP are underway and will continue for about a month. These STPs, awarded under the hybrid annuity model (HAM) at Nagole, Kokapet, Mir Alam, and Attapur, collectively enhance sewage treatment capacity by 480.5 MLD.

The total project costs, including construction and operational expenses, amount to Rs 908 crore and Rs 389 crore, respectively.

Ramky Infra’s subsidiary, Hyderabad STPS Ltd., is overseeing these projects, which introduce innovative BR technology in India to minimise infrastructure footprint and reduce power consumption.
